Friday Favorites - Baby Must-Haves

Welcome back to Friday Favorites! I have missed doing this weekly post, so I’m excited to get back into it. As some of you may know, I had my third baby 2 months ago. We finally got blessed with a baby girl and we are all just over the moon in love with her! There are some things that I bought again because I loved them with my other two and there are a few things that I purchased new and have grown to love after trying it out. So I’m here today to tell you about a few of those things that I’ve made mom life a little bit easier for me this time around!

1. Sense-U Baby Monitor

This was a new purchase I had never tried before. In the past we had used the Owlet Smart Sock to track our baby’s breathing and oxygen, but after our sock started burning and their customer service not handling it well, we decided to not use it again this time around. I did a lot of research trying to find something to track baby’s breathing without being too expensive or invasive and I’m super happy with the one we found!

I came across the Sense-U on Amazon and after reading about it and reading the reviews I decided to go for it! Price wise, this product is pretty reasonable especially because it is FSA and HSA qualified. Right now on Amazon the newest version with the base station is 199witha199 with a20 coupon you can add! They also have a version that comes with a camera, we didn’t purchase this one but I’ve seen good things about the camera as well. That one you can buy for 369withan369 with an80 coupon as well!

It’s just a little clip on button thing that you attach to your baby’s diaper and then it tracks their breathing movements as well as their skin temperature. So far we’ve had zero problems with this monitor and no false alarms, unlike with the Owlet. The base station will alert you with sound if your baby’s breathing slows down outside of the normal range and the app will also send you a push notification. The bluetooth that connects the clip to the base station seems to work well, as long as they are both in the same room together. The app works pretty flawlessly and I can connect to it from anywhere and see how my baby’s breathing is. The one instance that really sold me on this product happened about a week ago. I was at my computer doing some work and my baby was in her bassinet over by my bed. I had the monitor app open on my phone when I noticed that the monitor was showing her skin temperature was at 100. At this point, my daughter was sleeping soundly and completely normal, so if I hadn’t seen her temperature on the monitor I would have never checked it because she seemed to be fine. But I saw the monitor was reading her temp high so I got a thermometer and checked her temperature and sure enough, she had a fever! I was able to lower her fever by taking off blankets and using a cold cloth on her head. I’m so thankful that monitor showed me her skin temperature so that I could be proactive and help her feel better!

In my opinion, this product is totally worth it!

2. Graco Pack ‘n Play Dome LX-Playard

Okay, I’m not usually one who needs something this intense, but this pack ‘n play has been so nice! It has pockets on the side to hold diapers, burp cloths, extra onesies, anything you need really. The bassinet part detaches so you can take it into another room and still keep an eye on baby. The best part, is when baby grows out of the changing table and bassinet attachments, you can just take them off and you still have the regular pack ‘n play! It’s a little extra, but it’s actually been really great for us! I keep this in our living room so I always have somewhere to lay baby down without having to put her in a completely different room.

3. SwaddleMe Velcro Swaddles

These swaddles are the best things ever invented. I have always struggled with using regular swaddle blankets. I can never wrap them tight enough or tie them off the right way and it can be so frustrating! All of my babies have slept better swaddled up tight, so when I tried these it was a game changer. They make swaddling so easy and they hold up all night long. Sometimes an arm can break through, but baby is still wrapped up nice and tight and it’s amazing. I swear this is why all my kids have slept so well as babies. Definitely a must have!

4. FridaBaby Humidifier

This is another item that I bought new for this baby. I’ve loved other FridaBaby products that I’ve tried, so when we needed a humidifier for the new baby I definitely wanted to try this one! It has so many cool features. It’s a humidifier, a diffuser, and a nightlight! The lighting is so nice and not too bright. It’s quiet and holds a lot of water for the humidifier. Very easy to use and it doesn’t take up a lot of space. It has been perfect for our bedroom and it’ll be great for when we move baby into her own room in a few months!

5. MiClassic Bassinet

Okay, last thing on my list for today. Although, I could keep talking about baby stuff all day I feel like, so if you want any more suggestions on baby products that I’ve loved just DM me! This bassinet is so cute and simple! I love the mesh all around the sides so you don’t have to worry about baby not being able to breath. It’s a good large size, but I like it because I know it’ll be functional for quite a while. It also folds up really easy by pulling up from the middle, so if you need to travel with it it’s not a big hassle. Also, another great perk is that it is under $100! Which sometimes is hard to find when it comes to baby products.

So there you have it! My top 5 favorite baby must-haves! Make sure to follow @lovelyheartlife on Instagram and Facebook to keep up with any updates!
